How everything started...
| The Murrhardt Youth Fire Brigade was founded in 1972 by Peter Klenk and Manfred Kamrad. The reasons were on the one hand the high demand of young people, on the other hand the education of an urgently needed new generation for the Murrhardt Fire Brigade. Many fire fighters, being on active duty in Murrhardt or in other fire brigades, originally came from the youth fire brigade. |

| In the course of the years there were many changes. The Youth Fire Brigade got their own
classroom with lockers in the fire station. The overalls have been replaced by uniforms and all-weather
jackets. And instead of sneakers we wear fire security boots. However, the educational aims haven't changed. So there is still the routine fire-fighting exercise on the teaching programme, but also technical help, handling of rubber boat and radio devices are taught in a mix of fun, drill and comradeship. |
